About Dr. Seema Kanwal, BSc, ND
Dr. Kanwal is a graduate of Simon Fraser University where she focused on Chemistry and Biochemistry. Upon graduation, she joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Forensics Laboratory in Ottawa as a Forensic Technologist. Dr. Kanwal then pursued her career in Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario and has been practicing in Vancouver since 2006.
Since arriving in Vancouver, she has been an active member of the British Columbia Board of Naturopathic Doctors. She is one of the only naturopathic physicians in Canada to be trained in the Apo E Diet. Presently, Dr. Kanwal is working through the certification of integrative medicine through the Institute of Functional medicine (IFM).
Dr. Kanwal focuses on the prevention of disease by investing the time and attention required to understand the individual needs of her patients. She inspires her patients to actively engage in their own recovery of health and maintenance. By implementing lifestyle modifications and adding interventions, as required, patients learn how to stay healthy.
